COMPOSER RYAN FARISH RELEASES BREATHTAKING NEW CD, DAYDREAMER
INCLUDES ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS HEARD ON THE WEATHER CHANNEL

If upon first listen the music of Ryan Farish’s latest CD, Daydreamer, already seems eerily familiar, chances are you heard it while checking your local forecast on The Weather Channel. Along with selections from Ryan’s back catalog, the song “Dream In Essence” is part of The Weather Channel’s Local Forecast program, while “Letting Go,” “If Only,” “Night Wind” and the album’s title track have also been featured on TWC’s Local 8's. Finally, Ryan composed the theme song to channel’s exciting series, Storm Stories. But Ryan Farish’s music is about so much more than The Weather.

Based on his DIY ethic alone, Farish is a remarkable success story. Writer Ben Ohmart of MusicDish.com refers to the composer as “The Man of MP3 Steel.” Enjoying 1.5 million downloads over the course of three years since first placing his songs on the Internet’s most trafficked music download site, a half-dozen of Ryan’s instrumental soundscapes have all held MP3.com’s #1 spot for their genre. “I’ve been a professional musician for many years, but my business really took off soon after uploading my music to the web,” Ryan offers. “Sites like MP3.com played a huge role in helping me get noticed. When I first uploaded my music to that site, I was so excited to get a few plays. Now, I get thousands of plays a day. MP3.com has a wonderful community of artists whose feedback and support has inspired me and shaped my efforts. So many companies and listeners have discovered my music from that site. I can't imagine where I’d be if I had overlooked that opportunity.” Ryan Farish has successfully molded his skills in electronic music to provide custom music for over 1500 businesses daily across America with his Worldtrax Music Company. He also composes, produces and licenses music for television, software and other various multi-media outlets.

With its beautiful, evocative, and consistently positive undertones, the fifteen tracks on Daydreamer take the listener on a journey beyond the standard sonic drapery of most New Age, ambient or electronic “background” music. Like a dramatic narrative encompassing a spectrum of musical feels, Daydreamer is all about a sense fluidity -- moods, ideas and visions -- that comes across perfectly in the carefully nuanced interplay of piano/keyboards, percussion, and strings. From song to song, Daydreamer remains spectacularly melodic. “Some of my main influences are Pat Metheny, BT and ATB, but I love pop music in general and I listen to lots of jazz,” says Ryan. “I love pretty much anything that -- musically or emotionally -- makes me feel something."

It hasn’t been easy for Ryan to accomplish all that he has, but he’ll tell anyone who asks, what it does take to move forward is the confidence to follow a path with heart. “Always try to find your favorite genre or sound, and stick to it. It's easy to get caught up in trends, but stay true to what you love, and listeners will find you and be attracted to that kind of dedication. I just want to reach out further to listeners of this kind of music." Ryan Farish is available for interviews.
