Following is a collection of links carefully selected by Gail herself, for those times when you have work to do but need a handy distraction to keep you from doing it. Click away!
ModernUrbanLiving.com
This is Tracy’s awesome blog where she offers ideas and reviews gadgets to decorate your rad pad!
Confess.net
No matter what evil nasty things you’ve done, Jesus says “You Are Forgiven.”
Barzelay.net
This is a really cool blog with an apealing sardonic bent, written by a guy named David Barzelay, that I just discovered five minutes ago when I was trying to find new ways to entertain myself at work. I like this one almost as much as badnewshughes.com.
Electric Storytime
http://electricstorytime.blogspot.com/
Electric Storytime is an amazingly addictive blog loaded with updated-daily, sick and twisted short short stories for people with very short attention spans.
Television Without Pity
http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/
I met the woman who runs this site (Sarah aka “Sars”) through my friend Jill a few years ago. She has a tomato tattooed on her arm. But anyway, these guys write the best recaps of The Amazing Race and Survivor. I just wish they were blogging about The Office so I didn’t have to wait for the season reruns to get caught up on what is going on with Jim and Pam…
Flash Memory Store
http://www.flash-memory-store.com
When I got my new iMac (love it!) and had to transfer literally thousands of Word and Excel documents (not to mention - but you can see I am about to - hundreds of Outlook email messages) from an OS9 to OSX enviroment, I never would have survived if I hadn’t purchased a flash drive from Flash Memory Store.com . Their selection of external memory drives is insane, their prices were really low, and the new drive saved my ass.
The Best Page in the Universe
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/
Statement of Intent: “This page is about me and why everything I like is great. If you disagree with anything you find on this page, you are wrong.” The Best Page in the Universe is a very fun weblog full of scathing and hilarious rants about things the webmaster, Maddox, hates, which has provided me with non stop fun for hours and hours!
Not My Desk
Hey are you trying to scrape together a meager existence on this planet (in my case: Planet New York City) by working as an office temp? Here you’ll find essays on all manner of things: hyenas, wedgies, the Grand Canyon, car alarms, butter and Frank Langella’s scrotum. But mostly, they’re about temping.
Adventures of a BigWhiteGuy Living in Hong Kong
Randal is a 40 year old Canadian Ex-pat living and working as a photographer in Hong Kong. Visiting his autobiographical BWG website is an experience akin to The Amazing Race meets Modern Humorist. Clever and adventurous, yet somehow understated. Check out his voluminous online photo albums for a real kick in the head.
Post Secret
Check it out every Sunday for new secrets!
Kiss Krap!
My friend Chris has been collecting Kiss memorabilia for over thirty years. Now, perhaps inspired by the recent hit movie, The 40 Year Old Virgin, he is selling off much of his staggering collection of Todd McFarlane action figures, posters, games, puzzles, records and anything else you can imagine with the logo or likeness of members of Kiss emblazoned on it. Completely bypassing the usual ebay route, check out Chris’s website
Kiss Krap and maybe you can score yourself that one of a kind set of Destroyer oven mitts!
Website of Michelle Ferguson Cohen
Writer, Comedian, Recovering Rock Chick, Michelle was one of the first publicists I met and became pals with way back in the day when I could still stay up past 10 PM on a school night. She has been responsible for introducing me to many of my current friends/fiends in the music industry and for a not insignificant number of my career “breaks.” Check out her site and sign her mailing list right now!!
Jeremy Laing, Fashion Designer of the Future
It’s weird to think that I am personally acquainted with the Fashion Designer of the Future, Jeremy Laing, but I am. Read all about how cool Jeremy is on his website and one day you will be wearing his space age retro designs. I just bet.
Eileen Marquez, Artist
While I was temping at Forest Research Institute I shared a cubical with a very cool chick named Eileen Marquez. Eileen revitalized my sense of office fashion, shared snacks with me, and showed great appreciation for my warped sense of humor. In other words, she was rad. For that, Eileen is now immortalized in the Pink Links. She’s a pretty good painter, too, so if you’re a rich Rock Star whose cavernous mansion is seriously in need of some cool and colorful art to decorate those bare walls, drop by Eileen’s eponymous website. Hurry before she’s world famous and even you can’t afford her stuff.
Improv Everywhere
From staging Olympic Water Ballet Team try outs in the Washington Square Park fountain to getting eighty people to simultaneously take their pants off on the subway to convincing foreign tourists that the McDonalds in Times Square actually has a Men’s Room attendant, NY based performance art troupe Improv Everywhere brings excitement to otherwise unexciting locales and gives strangers a story they can tell for the rest of their lives. Hours of endless fun can be found by reading up on their past missions at the website link above.
Izzle Pfaff
Man, I sure do love this Blog that Ian recently turned me on to. Sample entry:
“When I got done with college — sporting a mighty Bachelor of Theater degree — I of course had to get a job. Strangely, Hollywood casting directors (or, for that matter, Hoboken casting directors) were not exactly scratching at my zipper or anything, so I had to find, as they say, a “real” job. When actors say things like ‘real’ jobs, that means: Jobs that suck.”

Although Carol and I have never met, we once dated the same psycho misogynist freak. Please spend some time browsing her website and buy some of her unique and compelling art, which includes little lapel pins that look like Satan.
Famousjames.com
Famous James is some metal dude whose site I found while Googling my own name. Apparently James, “The King of 80’s Metal,” had the kindness of heart to add a link to my website, which is cool because I don’t even know the guy. Perhaps he will be my future husband. One million jillion-bonus points scored for the article, The Greatest Cheeseburger Ever. Ohmigod, I love cheeseburgers so much.

Enter the world of child drum prodigy, Cole Marcus. He plays drums like a pint sized Neal Peart and he’s cute as hell. I met Cole recently when I was on vacation in California. His parents took us to a restaurant that was like eating in the Rain Forest and Cole and I colored with crayons on the placemats. It was rad.

Ink19 is run by my friend and Webmaster, Ian Koss, who also wrote my bio for this site. Ink19 is probably the best music and media site on the web. Lots of my stuff is archived here.
