Hurt Locker was FANTASTIC. I think both are deserving of Best Pic wins. District 9 was also brilliant...I'm with you - cool that it got a nod, but doubtful to win. I feel the same way about Inglourious too. There really were a lot of good movies this year! Up in the Air and Precious were great toooooo! I loved Avatar, though the ending was a bit lame. Haven't seen half the films on the list, but the ones I have seen are way good. <em>Avatar</em> (awesome spectacle). <em>Up in the Air</em>. <em>District 9 </em>-- totally blew me away. Not sure <em>Basterds</em> belongs up there, but it was pretty cool. Not about to see "white christian woman saves black ghetto boy," but people say it's good. Want to see Serious Man, Single Man, Education, Hurt Locker. To see those movies I would have to leave Melbourne. Great summation.
