Gail,
I had the Saturday Evening shift at KUCI and along with Glenn Langdon (MOKO the Nuclear Rabbit) we had in studio guests of Paige Porrazzo (AKA Jamie La Page) and Denny Ward from Needles and Pins with their new 45 "When I get Home". We got to do the first ever Broadcast of Herman Brood's new Album; I think the first release was "Feels like Doin It". In the course of the evening we got to announce the news of Sid's death. Either Paige or Glenn " he wanted to add to rock and roll history by dying twenty years to the day after Buddy Holly, but being a true punk, He blew it by a day...." As close as I can tell, that was thirty three years ago. I think we followed that up with a ten artist segue of Buddy Holly covers.
