A true legend is gone. I saw him perform once with Jimi at New York at the Cave they called it Amazing Drummer. He was a Jazz Cat That played Rock songs Along the Watch Tower, Fire, Purple Haze. Man, such a loss. RIP Brother; you and Jimi and Buddy Miles are Doin’ that Great Heaven Gig. RIP and God Bless you all.

You know I didn’t realize he was so young when he started out. Sounds like he did a lot of living in his short life. RIP

I was surprised to hear it… and sad for a coupla seconds… but what an amazing life… like, how much more exciting can it get when throwing out ground-breaking crazed music in one of the most creative eras in the history of humankind??!!

Definitely one of the greatest and most important drummers ever! He will be missed but thank God he was here.
